Let me share with you one of my absolute favorite photo sessions as a photographer in Cala d’Or! Carly and Kaveh decided to work with me because of the unposed and natural look of my pictures. We decided to have an intimate couple photo shoot in Mallorca during springtime because the water is still very clear at this time of the year.

Choosing a photo shooting location as a photographer in Cala d’Or

I based myself as a photographer in Cala d’Or because the beaches around this part of Mallorca are still a bit less developed than in other parts. You have stunning combination of rocks, crystal clear water and fine sandy beaches. Towards the north of Cala d’Or there are countless beautiful little coves and beaches to discover. But the absolute best about being a photographer in Cala d’Or is having all these beautiful sunrise beaches whilst the famous Colònia Sant Jordi with its gorgeous sunsets being just a 40 minutes drive away.

The story behind this intimate couple photo shoot in Mallorca

We started with some pictures at the coast to loosen up and proceeded with some more intimate shots on the beach later on. The time during our intimate photo shoot in Mallorca just completely flew by. I love how Carly and Kaveh were able to just relax into their experience and their feelings for each other. This way I could just capture the raw feeling that is between them.

My philosophy as photographer in Cala d’Or – the base for every intimate couple photo shoot in Mallorca

If my couples allow me I always lead them into some emotional and honest moments towards the end of the session. I usually start with some exercises that bring fun and laughter into their intimate photo shoot in Mallorca. Once everybody is relaxed and happy I invite my couples to step into more openness and vulnerability. By creating the space to share personal memories and thoughts with eachother what starts out as just a photo shoot evolves into an experience in itself. When this happens everything just flows. That’s when I feel like the happiest photographer alive! Knowing that my couples share real moments together instead of just posing for pictures.
